Mary never married, and it was a deep dark family secret until 1995. I wasted a lot of time and research to try and find her "non-existent" husband. Mary was the matriarch of the Linderman family. She dedicated her life to her son and her grandchildren. She was my maternal 2nd. great grandmother. I spent eight years researching for a husband or wedding date, and finally after years of searching my great aunt came clean and admitted to me that her mother was never married.

Mary had only had one child, a son, my maternal great grandfather Edward Francis "Edy" Linderman. My grandfather was Harry William Linderman, Mary's only grandson.

After years of research, according to Abraham Linderman's will, I discovered that both Mary and Lizzie Linderman were adopted by Abraham and Mary (Hammell) Linderman. source: Sally Frederick Johnson, November 11, 2018
